One of the things that the cats help me with is my quilting. They've been known to knock my thread down and roll it around until it is wound nicely around the furniture. They love sitting in the middle of a warm, new quilt - one untouched by any other cat. Actually they prefer pillows, but will settle for a homemade quilt. Recently they have chewed the foot pedal on the sewing machine to the point of no return - apparently, that cord is a great teething device for growing kittens. Quilts are often displayed on a rack and their favorite game is to take running leaps at the rack until it tips over and I come running to scold them and put all those lovely quilts back. I did do a cat quilt with a Burmese on and it hangs over at the University of California at Davis in their visitor area.
